Don't listen to those who say, 'You're taking too big a chance.' Michelangelo would have painted the Sistine floor, and it would surely be rubbed out by today

Belgrade/Hengalo - Update

So my first race in Europe didn't go to great. Belgrade was grim that's all I can say.

3rd in the 100m 11.59 and 4th in the 200 we won't discuss the time. If your that interested look it up. I caught crap in my calf in the 200 and hesitated twice thinking should I stop or continue. At night in Serbia the temperature drops quickly as I found out. I got cold and cramp took a hold. The back of my knee blew up later on that night and I started to panic. I was rooming with Dusrst and she managed to calm me down joking and basically being Durst. lol Which meant a McDonalds strawberry shake at 1am.

So on to Hengalo I went. I managed to survive terminal 5. My luggage arrived with me. I had packed for it to get lost with 2 days of clothes in my backpack which I carried as carry on.

I had a 1.5 days in hengalo before the meet which enabled me to get worked on to remove the pain in my calf cramp is the worst when its still lingering a whole day later.

So Hengalo the 100 was very tentative 11.50 I placed 6th. The 200 was better. I ran a seasons best 23.22 and placed 3rd. I watched the video with Loren after the race and we were able to pick out 3 things I can improve on. I'm kinda looking forward to my next 200 . That won't be until next week as I need a little treatment to clear the dull ache I still have from the cramp. I should also be able to put in 5 good practice sessions too.

On the whole the races are going in the right direction. It was really good to see my coach Loren and training partners Dwight and Dani.
