Quote Of The Moment

Don't listen to those who say, 'You're taking too big a chance.' Michelangelo would have painted the Sistine floor, and it would surely be rubbed out by today

I ache all over

I ache all over. This is no joke!!!

I managed to pick up some bug from the plane on my flight to Madrid to race in Salamanca.

I knew as soon as I landed that something was up. My nose was running and I had sneezing fits. I always carry my emergency supply of Iburprofen and Vitamin C with me. I starting taking them straight away. But my results from the race show it did not work.

Why did I race? You might ask. My answer now I don't know. One stupid idea point goes to Joice. :(

The night after the meet I had night sweats so at least my body is/was trying to fight it. My main concern was not allowing it to settle in my chest. A sore throat and runny nose with muscle ache can be dealt with. A chest infection is another thing.

I think I must have drank about 10,000 gallons of water. Ok, yeah slight exaguraation but you get my point. lol

So I'm off to the Dr this morning as I am now home. I feeling a little better and praying it's just a 72 hour thing. Hang on no take that back I just sneezed. lol

I did pay back yesterday on my flight back. Sneezed all the way and spread my germs all over the plane. lol.

Well Brooks wont let me wallow so I will be doing some sort of pratice session this afternoon after seeing the Dr.

Anyway just a quick update. Im not to worried yet but if I still feel like this next Wednesday then hmmmm.

Update

So I have a viral infection and have been told that I can not go to any of the 'High Performance Centres' in the UK for the next 5 days. Great!!!!!!!!!

So I will chill and leave this quote with you.

Challenges are gifts that force us to search for a new center of gravity. Don't fight them. Just find a different way to stand.

  6. from one athlete to another, i recommend that you add a little l-glutamine to your daily repertoire. if you already know about this great supplement, then pretend i never mentioned it, however if you have never heard of or thought of using it, then you should definitely get your hands on some because it will do wonders for your immune system.

    get well soon!
