Well I must say its been a minute since I last blogged. So lets see if I can remember all that has happened.
Ive been racing with results that I have not been best pleased with.
Hengelo, Bydgoszcz and Strasbourg. A 3rd place in the 200m in Hengelo was pretty cool. Lane 2 and all. I had a stinker in Bydgoszcz not realizing I was not 100% until I tired to run. But, I was able to turn it around in Strasbourg and end the 1st half of the season with a 23.23 seasons best in the 200m.
Soon after I hoped on a plane and headed back to IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida. There is just something about being down here that makes me happy. The facility and the atmosphere here is enough to raise anyone up.
As I type this blog I have just finished my 1st week back. Running a time trail this am followed by weight room. The times were pretty decent consider the 90+ heat I was running in.
So that pretty much is me right about now. I'm just down here training and putting deposits back in the bank for the 2nd half of the outdoor season.

Well done Joice, the 23.23 was a B qualifier!
ReplyDeleteYou have shown that you are a quality sprinter!
It would be nice now to lower your 100m time to the low 11.40's, high 11.30's and then see how it helps your 200m. Is this possible?
Good luck in training and hopefully you will get another B qualifying time for the 200 in July!
Well, at least your last race produced a season's best. Take all the positives from that performance.
ReplyDeleteNow you've escaped the lovely British summer (bbrrr!) you can enjoy the sunshine (if not the heat) and look foward to the rest of the season.
I hope to see you racing soon. :-)
Graham.
